Why 'In-Your Home' Pet Sitting?

While Dogs and Cats are very different, they do share a couple of common traits. For starters, they unconditionally love their owners / parents and thrive when they receive the same in return. They're also most at ease when with you, in the comfort of their own home.  So, it stands to reason that when you're away from home, especially for an extended period of time, your dog and/or cat will experience some degree of anxiety. This anxiety is magnified if you then remove your dog and/or cat from its home and place it in an unfamiliar environment; an environment that will likely have other anxious guests.

For this reason, we bring our Pet Sitting service to your pet, not your pet to our Pet Sitting service!  In doing so, your pet remains at home and we conduct several visits daily, according to a Pet Care Schedule that we design together.  This Pet Care Schedule will outline the times upon which we'll visit, the duration of each visit, your pet's feeding schedule, relief routine (backyard, walk, etc.) and sleeping ritual (treat(s), crate, bed, tv &/or radio on . . .).  The closer we can mirror your daily routine, the less anxious your pet will be while you're away.

How many Visits, at What Times and for How Long?

We usually visit the Dogs in our care either 3 or 4 times a day.  For Cats, we usually visit either once or twice a day. 

The frequency and arrival times of the visits depend on the duration of each visit.  For example, you might schedule the following:

  • 8am: 60 min visit to walk and feed;
  • 2pm: 3 hr visit to walk, play and feed;
  • 9pm: 30 min relief visit before bed.

Having the ability to select the number of daily visits, the arrival times and duration of each visit enables you to create a tailor-made sitting schedule for your pet(s).  And, as we've said, the closer the Sitting schedule is to your pet's daily routine, the less anxious your pet will likely be.

How does it Work?

We will periodically visit your dog and/or cat throughout the day and in the evening.
